The Real Central Appraisal District is currently accepting applications for the following position(s):
APPRAISAL CLERK/APPRAISER
This position requires the appraisal of residential, commercial, business personal property and rural (agricultural) land.
Responsibilities include:
The appraisals consist of inspecting properties and improvements via in person or aerial. Taking photographs, measuring improvements, documenting building features and analyzing data.
Applicants MUST be able to obtain the Certified Appraiser License with the allowed time frame by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent with college hours preferred
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
Must have strong computer skills & good mathematical skills
Must be physically able to work in inclement weather
Must be able to travel for education & training courses
Must be able to work in a multi-task position
Must be able to interact with taxpayers in a friendly & professional manner
Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner & maintain a professional demeanor and image (attire).
Regular & consistent attendance is required (MUST)
The appraiser will receive on the job training in order to perform the duties listed above. This position includes benefit packages. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
DATA ENTRY CLERK
This position requires the following skills: computer proficiency, punctuality, telephone etiquette, a pleasant and friendly attitude.
Responsibilities include:
Clerical duties include greeting the public, answering phones assisting property owners with common questions. Data Entry duties include sorting and filing of documents, entering data into the computer, preparing appraisal reports and other duties assigned by the Chief Appraiser.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with college hours preferred
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
